At Culligan, we know how important it is to preserve the quality of
our water supply through methods that substantially reduce any negative
impact on the environment. That's why it is our mission to develop and drive
the technologies of the future that will protect and clean our environment
while improving the customer's satisfaction.
Culligan water softeners with patented
Aqua-Sensor technology embodies our mission.
Our water softeners constantly monitor water hardness and water usage to
pinpoint and
optimize water regeneration time. It also sets low water reserve volumes to
minimize
regeneration cycles. In addition, our Aqua-Sensor technology
monitors water
regeneration in order to shorten the cycle and reduce the
amount of water consumed by
the process. over a 10 year period, our
Aqua-Sensor technology has been shown to
reduce salt consumption by up to 2
tons and save 20,000 gallons of water.
Portable exchange technology provides soft
water service without using any salt or water
within the customer's residence or place of business.
Culligan reverse osmosis drinking water
systems dramatically reduce the amount of
disposable plastic bottles into the environment, while supplying a constant
source of
pure drinking water in the home. Culligan reverse osmosis system optimizes
technology
to reduce wastewater by up to 50% of most competitive systems.
The use of
potassium chloride in the
regeneration process of a residential or commercial
water softener helps to alleviate the impact of sodium on the environment.
Special Commercial Applications
Culligan's brine reclaim is the process of
returning a portion of the reusable brine back
into the brine tank, rather than sending it into the sanitary sewer system.
This process
typically will save 25 - 40% of salt used annually. These Brine Reclaim
systems can be
retrofitted to many commercial water softening systems.
Culligan's water reclaim systems can reclaim
90% of water usage and recycle it back
through most water using plant facilities.
